Early Career and Diverse Legal Experience
Daren began his legal career defending businesses and insurance companies. His early assignments varied from post-conviction relief applications to forming LLCs, interdiction proceedings, and securing tax-exempt status for nonprofits. In his first full year practicing law, he tackled an environmental cleanup case, which required him to master the Louisiana Environmental Quality Act and Hazardous Waste Control Law and file a petition against numerous oil and gas companies.
Passion for Representing Individuals
Realizing he had more compassion for individuals than corporations, Daren shifted to representing injured workers. For over 15 years, he dedicated his practice to workers’ compensation cases, achieving notable victories in four of the five Louisiana State Courts of Appeal and the Louisiana Supreme Court. He also represented clients in longshore and Social Security Disability claims, and even took on a railroad company after a tragic crossing accident took the lives of three children and two adults and left the only survivor with permanent injuries.
Sarphie Law
Daren now leads Sarphie Law, where he assists injured Federal employees with FECA benefits, disabled Veterans, and injured railroad workers. His approach to each case is strategic, treating it like a chess match. Never wavering from its core values of Fostering Care, Support, and Understanding, Sarphie Law prioritizes honest communication with its clients, listening to their concerns and providing clear, straightforward advice.
